Bigger, Better, and Bolder: A Recap of the 2024 Rev.io Client Summit

Written by Chelsea Babin | Sep 24, 2024 7:49:20 PM

Before our flagship annual event even began, the Rev.io team had huge expectations for the 2024 Client Summit. A flood of signups from first-time attendees (particularly those using our Rev.io PSA product) helped us achieve the biggest attendance we’ve ever had at a Client Summit. We welcomed over 75 unique clients to Atlanta for the event, along with 13 sponsors. Our overall attendee count across the entire event was over 260 people!

While this event was bigger than any past Client Summit, it was also bolder in the quality and depth of content provided to attendees. Rev.io experts dove deeper than ever before into our current products, as well as into our vision for how we will serve our client base more effectively into the future. We had the chance to talk about a deep and meaningful portfolio of products to help service providers better automate operations and grow their revenue efficiently.

In addition to the incredible content, the Rev.io team put on their best event ever in terms of enjoyment and satisfaction for attendees. Attendees surveyed rated the event at 4.76 out of a possible 5 stars, with numerous compliments given for the skill of our presenters, the engagement of sponsors, and the quality of the hotel, conference area, and entertainment venues.

After taking some time to reflect on an amazing two-and-a-half days, here are 8 key observations from our Client Summit:

 1. Rev.io Leaders Shared a Clear Vision

In the general session on Tuesday, several members of the Rev.io leadership team provided clarity on the vision behind our solutions and how our products are evolving over the short and long term. Attendees expressed strong satisfaction with the insights they heard in the session.

CEO Brent Maropis kicked off the morning with some key Rev.io stats that demonstrate where our company has been and how we’ve continued to grow. He also gave his latest perspective on the convergence between Communication Service Providers (CSPs) and Managed Service Providers (MSPs). This merging of industries presents a complex challenge—one that we at Rev.io are uniquely positioned to address as the only company developing a comprehensive solution that integrates billing, PSA, and payments into a single, seamless platform. He also shared that our new web application for PSA—which is currently in development—will feature native AI capabilities and the latest technology, putting service providers at the cutting edge of industry innovation.

Next, our recently promoted CTO Jason Ogelsby introduced himself to attendees and went into details on our development priorities over the year ahead. Jason is a fiercely competitive leader who will ensure his team’s dedication to balancing development velocity, cycle time achievement, and release quality to ensure Rev.io’s entire suite of billing and back office solutions is firing on all cylinders. His organization, now known collectively as “Elevate,” will deliver on the features our client base requests and ensure that they are being implemented faster than ever before.

Finally, our VP of Product Sara Brown shared a year in review to update on the product development side of Rev.io PSA, and what our team has been working on across all our projects over the last year. For our Billing clients, she shared that we have invested in upgrading our tax integrations. We’ve added support for SureTax and Avalara’s REST APIs. Clients on reseller or multi-tenant instances now have the ability to choose tax partners by bill profile ID. In addition to these improvements, she shared that we’ve added an integration to CereTax to give clients greater flexibility and choice for tax solutions.

Sara also shared that the Rev.io Analytics platform is close to launching “Ask Rev.ii.” This is our debut AI solution, which allows clients to ask questions of their data in natural language. She also announced that Rev.io Odin now has Automated Provisioning of Dubber accounts for those leveraging Dubber's cloud-based recording solution alongside Cisco BroadWorks, which eliminates the swivel chair provisioning between Odin and Dubber. Lastly, she reminded Rev.io Payments users that we’ve launched an Accounts Payable solution in conjunction with the Accounts Receivable product our clients have enjoyed over the last 6 years. Leveraging Rev.io Accounts Payable will provide a new revenue stream, drastically reduce costs, and save time for our clients.

 2. Our PSA on the Web Preview Created a Buzz

One of the most exciting moments of the summit was the live demo of Rev.io PSA 2.0 Web, our latest innovation currently under development. This new platform promises to streamline processes and enhance user experiences for managing operations. Our Director of Product Management Serge Doudy debuted an incredible preview of our new PSA web application, which is currently in development. He showed off the enhanced UI, took our clients through a demonstration of various ticketing, inventory, and customer management features that are already functional within the application, and let our clients know how they can join our upcoming Beta testing program. He topped off the presentation with a preview of how Ask Rev.ii’s AI capabilities will be embedded in the functionality of PSA 2.0. We were incredibly excited to have Client Summit attendees experience this early look at Rev.io PSA on the Web! For continuous updates and previews, be sure to bookmark Rev.io Updates.

 3. Rev.io has a Practical Vision for AI

One of our highest rated breakout sessions was entitled Billing Insights: Shaping Tomorrow. It was led by Rev.io’s VP of Data & Analytics Josh Owen, and Analytics Technical Lead Jessica Aguilar. The session covered exciting details about the future of AI and Analytics in Rev.io Billing, where numerous innovative ideas are being developed and implemented. These advancements have the potential to significantly enhance productivity, streamline operations, and ultimately drive increased revenue for clients. Our presenters also introduced Rev.ii for Analytics, which allows users to explore their data by asking questions in a natural way and receiving answers in the form of charts and graphs. Rev.ii for Analytics makes data exploration intuitive and engaging, empowering everyone to make data-driven decisions with ease.

4. Hands On Training Should Never Stop

As always, one of the highlights of the Client Summit experience was the wide range of opportunities for our clients to get hands on system training directly from our team of Rev.io Experts. Even long-term system users benefited from deep diving into our solutions and from learning more about the latest and greatest features we’ve implemented to enhance their user experience. Users of all our products (Rev.io Billing, Rev.io PSA, Rev.io Payments, Rev.io Analytics, and Rev.io Odin) were able to ask questions that will help streamline their daily processes, learn time-saving tactics that will help them get more value from the solutions they’re already using, and use the time they spent at Client Summit to the benefit of their business and their bottom line for the upcoming year.

5. Rev.io has an Amazing Ecosystem

This year, we were thrilled to welcome a wide range of Client Summit sponsors from our amazing ecosystem including our Diamond Sponsor—Wolters Kluwer—our three Platinum Sponsors—AT&T Partner Exchange, Crexendo, and TRX Services—and our silver sponsors—AMOP, CLA, Ceretax, EisnerAmper, Nuvei, TaxConnex, The Business Growers, Inteserra, and TransNexus. We want to thank our 13 sponsors for their help ensuring this year’s Client Summit was packed with actionable insights, compelling industry-relevant conversations, and incredible value for our Client attendees. Our thriving ecosystem continues to expand as we do, so be sure to visit our partner page for information about our existing partners and how they help our service providers succeed.

6. Battery Atlanta is setting the standard

This year’s Client Summit took place at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel & Convention Center, conveniently located steps from The Battery in Atlanta, which provided a great centralized location for a variety of fun networking events (even for the attendees who chose not to snag a ticket to Monday’s Atlanta Braves vs. Cincinnati Reds game). We hosted three simultaneous networking events that provided a bevy of food, drinks, and fun for our attendees. These included a whiskey tasting and food pairing at ASW Distillery, a variety of games, bites, and drinks at Punch Bowl Social, and a relaxing dinner at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel atrium. We’re grateful for EisnerAmper’s networking event sponsorship and all our client summit attendees who made these events memorable and enjoyable.

7. Nothing beats live interactions

The value of live introductions and interactions at Client Summit continues to expand as our attendee count grows each year. In a highly remote, digitally distributed world, getting together and building bonds with our clients is very important and we are committed to continuing to do it in the future at Client Summit and any other trade shows that the Rev.io team attends

8. The Future is Bright for Service Providers

One thing that became more apparent than ever as this year’s Client Summit drew to a close is the tremendous opportunity that service providers can realize by leaning into the shifts across the various industries that our solutions are tailored to serve. For telecom resellers and managed service providers, the continuing Commvergence trend between the two industries provides an exciting chance for growth across both markets. For security, alarm, and AV integrators, the modernization of the solutions they utilize speeding up their workflows and accelerating their ability to enhance customers’ technology means they can begin to do even more without having to add to their existing teams. Rev.io is excited for the opportunity to help technology experts and service providers of all kinds to create positive future business outcomes and grow revenue efficiently.

For our clients that attended the 2024 Client Summit, thank you! We hope that you had an excellent time, and we are grateful and humbled that you took time out of your business to be with us.
